August 4th-Summer Speed Horse Show Series at Red Ridge Ranch Riding Stable, 7pm. Held every Thursday evening. Come watch as some of the area’s best cowboys and cowgirls compete for over $9000 in year-end awards. August 11th-Caravan Gypsy Swing, 7- 9pm, Caravan is an instrumental group based out of Madison, Wisconsin. They are primarily influenced by the legendary Gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt. The ensemble also pulls influences from jazz, swing, traditional Latin, Parisian waltzes, and other vintage-jazz sources. Free. August 12th- 3rd Annual ”’GIVE BACK” Benefit Concert, 7 pm. Benefit concert to raise funds for the restoration of the Al Ringling Theatre. August 14th-Wisconsin Dells Indian Ceremonial, 6:30- 8pm, A revival of the famed Stand Rock Indian Ceremonial that graced the Wisconsin Dells for many decades is returning to the Dells this summer. Local performers will revive the ceremony for 2 free shows at Bowman Park, located on Broadway in downtown Wisconsin Dells. August 17th-Queenie & The Blue Cats, 7- 9pm, Queenie & the Blue Cats are a high energy Madison based band that plays blues/rock/r’n’b originals and standards. The band has twice won MAMA’s for their albums as well as being voted best blues band in Madison. August 23rd- Universe in the Park at Devil’s Lake, 8:45pm, Universe in the Park will take place at Devil’s Lake State Park Outdoor Amphitheatre in the Northern Lights Campground. Astronomers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Astronomy Program will present an evening of exploring the universe. The Park Naturalist will be on hand to answer questions about the park until dusk falls and the astronomy programs beings. A State Park vehicle admission sticker is required. August 23rd- Relay for Life Community Picnic, 5-6pm, The American Cancer Society would like to say “thank you” to your community for all your support in the fight against cancer!
