June 1, 2013 – Nash Metropolitan Show at Circus World. The Nash Metropolitan, America’s first subcompact automobile, was produced from 1954-1962. June 11, 2013 – Bugsy Malone Auditions 5:00 – 8:00 PM. For its 15th season, the Children’s Summer Theater Workshop will be holding auditions for Bugsy Malone, a 1920s musical filled with rival gangs, singing, dancing and silly string. Students in 6th through 8th grade have the chance to learn about all aspects of theater as they rehearse Bugsy Malone this summer. Beginning June 11 to July 19 on Tuesdays from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., students will sharpen their dancing, acting, and singing skills and present the final product at the CAL Center July 19, 20 at 7 p.m. and 21 at 2 p.m. Students do not need to have any previous experience in theater to audition. A short 20 minute parent meeting will start at 5 p.m. and a registration fee of $30 will be collected. There are scholarships available to cover the fee as well. Students will then go through various audition steps and parts will be assigned at the end of the night.

June 14, 2013 – KAYAK TOUR – Devil’s Lake State Park 6:30- 8:30 PM. Preregistration is required. Take a guided kayak tour and find a new way to explore Devil’s Lake! We’ll paddle the lake looking for all sorts of wildlife (birds, fish, mammals) and check out some of the geology and history too. The kayak tours will start at the park’s north shore we’ll spend the first half an hour gathering and learning how to use our kayaks. The tour will take about 90 minutes. There is a limited amount of space, so we ask you to preregister prior to the event. If you need to rent a kayak, please let us know when you register. Circus World will present “A Salute to Veterans” ceremony at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 15, 2013.  All veterans, their spouses, and families will be admitted FREE the day of the program and are welcome to enjoy any and all of the shows that day. The special ceremony begins at 9:30 in Circus World’s Hippodrome building.  The National Anthem will be sung during the program by soloist Cody Rothbauer, with the Rev.
