December 1, 2012 – Soup Supper and Euchre Card Party Fundraiser Durward’s Glen 4:30- 10:00 PM. Enjoy an evening with your neighbors starting with a soup supper and ending with a card party. As part of Durward’s Glen’s  “Give back to the community ” goal, at 6:15, Julie Westgaard a local mother, will give a short talk on autism, Julie will be selling Max’s Wax Crayons, and 5% of our donations tonight will go to a local charity to help families with autistic children. December 1, 2012 – Holiday Open House 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. 12/2 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. —Volunteers from Safe Harbor Homeless Shelter will be at the Kettle and Cup throughout the weekend to wrap Christmas gifts for a freewill donation to benefit the homeless shelter.  Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus while your gifts are wrapped—volunteers will available to take photos which will be printed on site, or bring your own camera. Blue Heron will gift wrap purchases and serve cookies and Mack&Jack Cocoa all weekend.  Visit Santa between 9 AM and 2 PM and bring a canned good for the food pantry to receive a free photo.  There will also be Christmas card making for the troops, Healthy Sampling and Recipes, and Carriage Rides from 10 AM – 1 PM.  –St. Peter’s Lutheran School Cookie Walk, December 2, 9 AM while supplies last.

December 1, 2012 – Nominate your Neighbor Holiday Lights Contest 4:00- 9:00 PM. If you think your house, or a neighbor’s, is the most meaningful, colorful or inventive on the block, let the Reedsburg Chamber know by calling 524-2850. Nominees must be within seven miles of Reedsburg.  Photos are appreciated, but not required.  Chamber elves will tour the nominees, and announce winners on Monday, December 17.  Chamber gift certificates will be awarded to the winners.

December 2, 2012 – 5K / Fun Run/Walk Fundraiser, 3:30- 5:30 PM. New Life Advent Christian Church are holding a fundraiser to raise money for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic July 20th -28th, 2013 to help needy children  through Kidsalive  International.  This is not a race, but top three pledge raisers will receive prizes and door prizes will be given out.  Snacks and drinks also provided.  Please collect pledges or make a free will offering to participate. December 8, 2012 – Edwardian Christmas 12:00 – 7:00 PM. Sauk County Historical Society Christmas Event. The spirit and exuberance of an Edwardian Christmas will come to life at two Baraboo locations from the Edwardian Era, the Van Orden Mansion, finished in 1903, and the Al Ringling Theatre built in 1915. At the Van Orden Mansion, 12 fresh Christmas trees  will be displayed in various rooms, each one decorated by area designers, businesses and volunteers. Dave SaLoutos will again showcase Christmas from the 1960s & 1970s. There will be goodies to eat, jingle bell rides, and musicians performing throughout the event. Tickets may be purchased that day at either location: Adults-$5 for either location, and a combination ticket for $8. Children under 12 admitted free. December 8, 2012 – Cookie Walk 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Advance sales begin November 15 and end when sold out .  Purchase a box at Hook & Needle, 450 E. Main Street or the Reedsburg Chamber of Commerce, 240 Railroad Street, during regular business hours for $10.  Fill your box as you visit 28 participating business and receive a cookie.   Filled cookie boxes can be pre-ordered for $15 and picked up at Hook & Needle on December 8.

December 09, 2012 – Holiday Train - Mauston Stop  4:30 PM.  CP Rail Annual Holiday Train Stop in Mauston!!   Downtown – Division Street Rail Road Crossing. The purpose is to raise awareness of hunger in the US and Canada.  Donations of both food and money will be collected.  All proceeds go to the local food pantries.
